Welcome to Masanga UK. We are a small UK based charity (Registration Number 1136339) which has supported Masanga Hospital, a rural hospital in Sierra Leone as part of the Masanga Hospital Rehabilitation Project since 2011. The charity relies on UK healthcare professionals who volunteer their time in Sierra Leone to offer training for local hospital staff and contribute to the running of the hospital.
We are always interested to hear from potential future volunteers and those interested in the charity's work. If you can't find the information you are looking for, don't hesitate to contact us!
Mission Statement
We aim to support the restoration of Masanga Hospital as an independent, locally run healthcare institution serving the people of Sierra Leone by 2026.
We will achieve this by working with our partners to deliver, and improve the quality of clinical services with a particular focus on workforce strengthening and medical education.
